Being the captain of AKB0048, she is tasked with supporting and guiding the younger generation. She is very aware of her position and uses her wisdom to giving advice to them. Although seen as a friendly yet strong girl who is firm and calm in all situations, Takamina has a weak side that she rarely shows to others, because of that she always hides her anxiety and fear behind her smile and always acts like everything is fine even though she herself is insecure.
Plot[]
Past[]
Takamina likely joined 0048 at the age of 14 and became the 5th Takahashi Minami's successor at 15. Four years ago along with the rest of AKB0048, she held a secret concert in an abandoned mine on Lancastar. The DES tried to stop them, but AKB0048 quickly defeated them before leaving Lancastar. She wields an electrically charged bow in battle, which can also be used as a boomerang to stun her opponents.
To The Auditions[]
4 years later, Takamina and the rest of AKB0048 appeared on a hologram card that Yuka had received, instructing them how to do the auditions.
Later, Takamina and the rest of AKB0048 came to the rescue of the auditioners when the DES took over a ship in order to search and capture the auditioners. They managed to rescue the auditioners, defeat the DES and make an escape on their ship before the DES can catch them.
She leads the attack to rescue the auditioners, and makes an appearance in Episode 3, telling the 77th Generation candidates how to use the showers. She also gives the girls a pep talk before they land on the guerilla planet.

Before Orine can ask her more, she bolts into the stall.

During Episode 7, Takamina helps to train her named successor, Kanata. It is obvious that Takamina cares for Kanata. After a day of dance practice, a curious Takamina, Yuuko, Yukirin, and Mayuyu follow Tsubasa to the shrine next to the AKB0048 stadium. There, the girls walk through a bamboo forest, and emerge on the other side to a forest of Kirara. A distraught Tsubasa runs up, and when confronted by the girls, reveals that Takamina is due to graduate and Kanata will soon take her place as Captain of AKB0048.

She said about AKB0048's real goal and Kanata response her, which Takamina became upset. DES make an attack to the ship, so senbatsu go to war-field. In battle, Takamina loses all of her concentration and is then attacked by DES. After getting back to Katyusha, she has a conversation with Yuuko. As she doesn't want to graduate, which would be destroying Kanata's dream, Yuuko said what's wrong with that, since Kanata is blaming herself for Takamina's injured.
Because of her injuries, Takamina is not allowed to perform at the Tundrastar concert and Kanata is chosen as her stand-in once again. However, she wants to perform and says to Tsubasa that she won't fool herself. At the end of the episode, Takamina said that Takahashi Minami's name will belong to Kanata. In the Episode 20, Takamina discreetly reveals that Kanata is the successor of Takamina, but Kanata did not understand the meaning of what she was talking about.
